…and Deeper in Debt

It seems we’re all deeper in debt these days. The company store has no soul of its own to sell, and we who try to survive by selling ours just get the mineshaft. It’s why people are marching around everywhere. And yet it’s nothing like the Great Depression, when everyone ran out of Prozac and started bowling for dust mites.

This is a much happier time – “Happier? How can you say such things?!” you scream at the top of your lungs, from the cardboard box you now call a home, hoping the owner of the fingers typing this bit of Crud will hear your perplexed protestations. Never fear, I hear you loud and clear. It is a happier time because the people of Great Depression had no Fundamental Crudities to soothe their suffering souls up on the company store’s shelves.

If you’re one of the citizens of the city of Chicago, you can ease your pain by keeping your eyes open for the many free copies of The Fundamental Crudities’ fresh new album Another Day Older that are scattered around hither and yon, or you perhaps you will accidentally catch the ever-elusive Crudities at an open mic somewhere.

Or, you can download the music online, for free or otherwise, and watch this website for news of upcoming performances.

Whether you do this or not, you will end up older and deeper in debt – but if you partake in the Fireside Chat of The Fundamental Crudities, you will be much happier about it.
